New world and inspiring spatial designs

Öznur Pınar Çer, a graduate from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Cyprus International University, the world-renowned architect, will get together with you on the social platform.

The founder of 'Mask Architects', who will evaluate the process of 'New world and inspiring spatial designs' as a guest of GNÇ Talks with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Adalıer, a CIU faculty member is getting ready to meet you about world architecture as well as her own success story.

Who is Öznur Pınar Çer?
Öznur Pınar Çer, who graduated from the CIU Faculty of Fine Arts in 2014, won the honors degree at the same time. Having won many competitions throughout her university life, Çer won the first place in the "MIMED 2013" competition, among 140 projects. Also, she attended "Prosteel in 2014 competition" in Turkey during her university years, and with the "Emergency Shelter modular design" project she was awarded an honor prize. Since 2013, an award-winning architect Çer, who has been working in a wide range of high profile projects and typologies, has made a name for herself in giant projects such as İstanbul Airport.

Opened to the world with ‘Mask Architects'
Çer, who has been working as the founder and lead designer at her own company ‘Mask Architects‘ since 2017; has managed projects which achieved outstanding success in countries such as Korea, Germany, Turkey, the USA, France, Africa, and Dubai. She has also won the first prize in the 29th World Architecture Community Award with her Futuristic-organic “Kırşehir Automobile and Aircraft Museum” project in 2018, and her other brand project has been the “First Camera Obscura Photo Art Museum” designed for the Seoul Metropolitan Government. With the important projects, Mask Architects took its name in world press as well as magazines and social media platforms in continents such as Asia, America, and Europe.

Çer, who was invited by the European Cultural Center to the "Venice Biennial 2020" to participate in the exhibition titled "TIME SPACE EXISTENCE" as MASK Architects, was the world's first spiral movement and rotated, controlled by a kinetic art installation by the human movements together with the famous Italian luxury designer Danilo Petta. She is currently preparing for the “Hole Zero” project with a cage loop structure.

A Vital step for COVID-19
Öznur Pınar Çer and Danilo Petta have also done a miraculous work in the healthcare industry by designing an “I-Breathe-Just” adjustable apparatus, which is 3D printing that doubles the oxygen output directly from the inhalation/exhalation channel, for patients exposed to COVID-19, to double the capacity of the pulmonary ventilators.

"I-Breath-Just" designed by Petta and Çer as a voluntary project of biomedical industry apparatus has been placed under protection by the Italian Government, and studies are being conducted for the patent uptake by several European countries and Turkey.

Arguing that Mask Architects has a mission based on “Human and Human Rights”, Çer highlighted that her design can be used for health purposes in situations involving humanity such as the pandemic process.
