The Origin of Cognition & Behavior Exhibition Held
The “Origin of Cognition & Behavior Annual Exhibition,” traditionally organized each year by the Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Cyprus International University (CIU), was held once again this year. The exhibition featured student projects on the foundations of behavior and cognition, developed as part of the Physiological Psychology and Neuropsychology courses during the Fall and Spring semesters.
The event was attended by the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emre Debreli, Vice Dean, Assist. Prof. Dr. Bengü Berkmen, Head of the Psychology Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eliz Volkan, faculty members from the Psychology Department, and students.
At the exhibition, topics such as the biological foundations of psychology, how behavior and cognition are generated, maintained, and regulated, how they are affected by damage (lesions), and how all these aspects are assessed both in research and practice to aid diagnosis were explored and discussed in detail.
