About the Department
The program focuses on providing a wide picture of the rapid technological innovations blended with culture and art which requires creativity, progressive knowledge and technology along with conventional knowledge bases. As today’s technology centered society requires an ability to predict future directions of high technology and meet new demands with creative approaches, the program offers customized courses to meet the needs of companies including the development of globally competitive skills for students reflecting global culture and technology trends, especially in marketing field.
The program offers the most up-to-date curriculum in order to meet the demanding needs of qualified and talented professionals, who can navigate networked media and marketing in rapidly changing conditions. The program offers a perspective of a rapidly changing world with its interdisciplinary nature, and aims to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical applications of current digital media and marketing programs in today's business world.
Education Opportunities
The four-year curriculum aims to develop students’ knowledge and skills both theoretically and practically. In the first two semesters, students take courses in Basic Communication, Media and Marketing, Information Technologies, English and Economics.
They are also given Digital Media and Digital Marketing courses starting from the 3rd semester. Fourth semester and onwards, the students have the opportunity to take different courses related to the field they want to specialize in.
Career Areas
Nowadays, digital media has become popular in education as well as in all aspects of our lives. As a result of the widespread use of the digital media, new concepts such as e-commerce and e-marketing have emerged. Thus, it is expected that the education of individuals who want to work in many sectors will be planned accordingly. At this point, trained personnel is a requirement for the use of digital media, as it is used in all areas of the trading sector. In light of these developments, there is a need for educated academics who can train personnel in this field. Graduates of this program will be able to find jobs in different areas of the media and marketing sector, as well as being able to pursue a postgraduate degree in this field.

6TRNC citizens and TR citizen candidate students who have completed their entire high school education in TRNC. They are placed in undergraduate programs in line with their success in the CIU Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam and the programs they prefer.
Students who are successful in the exam can register from the TRNC Marketing Office.
Applicants can directly apply online to our undergraduate programs by using the application portal. Please fill in your details correctly and upload all the required documents listed on the last page of the application form.
Required documents;
- Completed application form,
- Higher/Secondary Certificate or equivalents (e.g. O/A’Level, WAEC/NECO)
- Evidence of English Language competence: TOEFL (65 IBT) or IELTS (5.5). Students without these documents will take the CIU English proficiency exam on campus following arrival,
- Scanned copy of international passport/birth certificate,
- Fully completed and signed CIU Rules and Regulations document (which can be downloaded during the online application).
Cyprus International University provides academic scholarships for its students as an incentive for success, with most students benefiting from 50%, 75% or 100% scholarships or discounted tuition fees. Click for more information.
Tuition Fees are determined at the beginning of each academic year. Candidate students who are entitled to enroll in CIU can learn their fees in line with the Tuition Fee Calculation system.
